Take specific note of the changes in our daily average response and transport volumes in July 2022 compared to July 2021 and July 2020.
Significant increase in response volumes, but the % of patients who call 911 who are being transported to area hospital ERs is decreasing.
MedStar has initiated several programs designed to treat 911 patients in place and navigate them to the most appropriate source for follow-up care, which in many cases, does not involve transport to a hospital ER.
