MedStar, and most area EMS agencies, are experiencing dramatic increases in response volumes!
For the month of August 2021, MedStar’s average daily responses were up 11% compared to March, and for the last 2 days of August, our response volume was up 20%.
Responding to an average of 552 calls per day, in the Texas heat, wearing PPE on every response and increasing concerns about contracting COVID-19, take a toll on MedStar crews, and all first responders.
